What is Holistic Counselling?

Holistic counselling looks at the person as a whole to enable ongoing sessions to provide support without focusing on mental health needs alone.  This method of counselling focus's on a persons overall health, mental, emotional, spiritual, social and physical well-being, not just their illness or condition. 

Holistic counselling understands that each person is individual, coming from different cultural, spiritual, and family backgrounds. It considers that each person in influenced by their age, faith, education, social interactions and sexual or gender identity. 

There is no one who knows you like you know you! I am here to listen to ask questions and to provide practical tools to support you on your journey to becoming your best self.  

Each session will last 90 mins, and will be a mix of traditional talk based therapy as well as practical exercises, and holistic, intuitive healing techniques to enable you to feel heard, to learn skills to help you grow, and to feel settled and grounded before you leave.

What is Holistic Lifestyle Coaching?

Holistic Lifestyle Coaching is similar to counselling in as much as we look at a person as a whole, and sometimes methods are interchangeable.   However coaching offers more practical skills which can support you in finding the life balance that might be missing currently.  

Sessions last 90 mins and include a discussion about what is working for you in your life and what is not, I will listen and ask questions and together we will make a supportive plan to work on over either a 6 or 12 week period.  Looking at the person as a whole means that your plan will include learning and implementing strategies to support you in any of the following areas:

  • Finding a work / life balance

  • Coping with life changes

  • Goal setting

  • Creating new habits

  • Living mindfully

  • Awareness of holistic health

  • Addiction support

  • And more!

What will my sessions look like?

For both Counselling and Coaching, your first session will be an in-depth consultation. This will allow me to get to know you and you will have the opportunity to lay it all out on the table.   Often clients will find some relief simply from having the space to open up and share.  You will have time to ask any questions you might have and we will talk about follow up sessions dependant on what your needs are. 

Most clients should expect 6 weekly sessions, for some it may be 12 depending on what issues might arise.  Between each session you will have an activity or new skill to learn.  I have found that taking part in an activity solidifies what we work on together in session and gives clients a deep understanding of self, 

allowing a greater opportunity for healing. 

Your sessions will be carefully curated to give you what you need for the best healing opportunity. I am here to help you feel supported along the way.
