As the Spring Equinox arrives this weekend it feels like a gentle reminder that the light is returning, but it’s not always about big, flourishing moments. Sometimes, it’s about simply noticing the small shifts—the tiniest sprouts that are pushing through, even if things aren’t fully in bloom yet.
I’ve been feeling the need to pull back and connect with the earth in small, grounding ways this spring. For me, this equinox will be about getting outside, nurturing my garden, planting a few new seedlings, and spending some time weeding and mulching. Afterward, I’m hoping to enjoy an early outdoor BBQ with my love, Adam. Just simple pleasures, really—soaking in the sun and feeling present in the moment.
But I know that not everyone feels like they’re in a season of growth right now. If you’re struggling, this equinox can still be a time of balance and reflection. It’s okay if things don’t feel like they’re flourishing just yet. Spring doesn’t ask us to rush into full bloom. It’s about honoring where we are, no matter what stage we’re in.
Here are a few gentle ways to celebrate the equinox, especially if you're feeling a bit stuck
Take a quiet walk in nature. Notice the small signs of spring—buds, blossoms, or the change in light. Even a short stroll can be grounding.
Spend time outdoors with a loved one or fur family. Simply sitting together, feeling the sun on your skin, can be an act of connection and renewal.
Collect and press flowers or leaves in your journal. It’s small way to bring the beauty of spring into your personal space, and it can remind you that even small gestures of creativity are meaningful.
For those of us who are navigating challenges, this equinox can be a chance to pause, take a breath, and reconnect with the simple pleasures that surround us. It’s a reminder that growth isn’t always linear or fast—it can be subtle and slow, and that’s okay.
Journaling Prompts for the Spring Equinox.
1. What small changes or shifts have you noticed in your life recently?
Even if it’s not flourishing, what’s gently growing?
2. How can you nurture yourself during this season, especially if things feel hard?
What small, kind act can you do for yourself right now?
3. What do you feel grateful for, even in the midst of challenge?
Sometimes focusing on just one thing can shift our energy in small but powerful ways.
As I spend time in the garden and enjoy a sunny BBQ with Adam, I’ll be thinking about how each season teaches us something about patience and timing.
Wherever you are this spring, I hope you find moments of light, warmth, and quiet growth. 🌸🌞
Blessed Be

beautiful thoughts Angela. I’m feeling a gentleness about this Equinox, perhaps it’s because I’ve let go of age old rituals and traditions and must do’s.
Instead, replacing it with just flowers. Flowers on my altars and hearth. Enjoy the bbq! Sounds lovely. A walk on the beach or a picnic for me, depending on how I’m feeling on Sunday x 🌱
